You Choose {#SOL16 Day 3}

Every day.....

We have the power to choose.

To choose to stay quiet or choose to speak up.

To choose to show love or choose to show disinterest.

To choose to listen or to choose to shout.

To choose to be kind or choose to be cross.

To choose to say no or choose to say yes.

To choose complain or choose to embrace the blessings we have been given.

To choose to appreciate or to choose to take for granted.

To choose to be brave or to choose to be complacent.

To choose to lead or choose to follow.

To choose to push forward or choose to drop back.

We have the power to choose.

How will you spend your choices today?

  3. My choice is to spend my day soaking in positivity. Your list poem inspires me to do so, Jennifer.

  4. Sometimes I sit and marvel at the choices I can make for myself. Choices about the food I eat all the way to the attitude I take. When we feel this sense strongly, we feel in control. It's a powerful feeling.

  10. It feels like a slice that would be a good conversation with students, too, Jennifer. My question sometimes to my class was "what kind of person would you choose to be if no one was looking?" It connects very much to your wonderful list of choices. Thanks for reminding us.

  11. I must know how you come up with these great ideas to write about!!! I love this one and how true it is, and how sometimes people let others make choices for them. I'm trying so hard to work on that with my students!
    ;)
