Yesterday was our last day of school. It was very bittersweet. I truly enjoyed this group of students and will miss them. Their spirit was like no other group I've ever had. They worked hard, embraced a growth mindset, and supported each other's learning journey. I would often hear "Way to go" or spontaneous applause would break out in support of a student's success. I didn't teach them this. I didn't need to. It's just a part of who they are and I will miss that.
What are you celebrating this week?
Congratulations, Jennifer. What a lovely thing to know about this group, and to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteJennifer, life is good. You had a full year and now are a proud member of the summer crew of connected educators. Glad to hear that your students benefitted from your guidance.
ReplyDeleteThis photo captures an amazing moment. You announced that one of your students was leaving for the day and moving. One student yelled, "Group hug!" They charged the student with open arms and...the phot was taken. Congrats on such a successful school year!
ReplyDeleteGreat celebration! It is so nice when we have this kind of group of students. I am sure you will miss them greatly. It sounds like you had a wonderful school year and your students will definitely remember this year. I have two more weeks of school and I am ready for summer!
