A Few of My Favorite Things {SOL 3.11.17}

Leigh Anne at A Day in the Life has invited us all to a virtual Five Favorite Things Party where we share our five favorite things and why they are special to us. You can read the details here and participate at your blog too. I've spent a few days narrowing down my choices and I'm ready to go.

My Five Favorite Things that I am bringing to this virtual party are:

I mean, look at all those COLORS! If you are a pen addict (you know who you are), then you must check out these pens. They are super smooth and dry quickly.
I keep a few of these in my desk drawer for those days when I am experiencing a little stress and need a pick-me-up. (Like when I'm teaching fractions.)
I don't know how we are so lucky to have fresh fruit year round, but strawberries in winter are an extra awesome treat!
Tulips are my favorite spring flower. I can't wait to see them in my garden soon.
My favorite 80's movie? Say Anything! Truth is, I still love it. This movie became the soundtrack of my teenage years.

  1. Fun post! You are sharing those Ink Joy with many others. Love the tulips, but daffodils are my spring favorite.

  2. Fun! I am with Diane on the daffodils -- my house is filled with them. I love color pens, but I am partial to the pilot erasable color pens. This could be fun to do!

  3. Yay! I wrote on Deb's post that I thought I would start seeing "guests" between day 10 and 15 - those days when we need an idea! I have put the Ink Joy pens on my Walmart list because they have been popping up on lists like the tulips! Thanks for attending my party! ;)

  5. YIKES, choosing 5 things? I love that you chose 5 small things that mean so much to you! Peter Gabriel's IN YOUR EYES is stuck in my head now-and I don't mind at all!

  6. I love what you shared! I obsessed with pens and super picky because I am a lefty and a lot of times the ink smears! Grrrr! I have InkJoy pens but haven't seen that array of colors. The tulips are gorgeous. I'm anxious for them to arrive too! Thanks for sharing!

  13. This is a wonderful fun post with a format we could all use...and our kids could use!

  14. I thought how restrained you were to have strawberries in your drawer and you stress eat them. I was relieved to fix that notion and realize that you eat chocolate!!!

  15. I do enjoy this format. And your 5 things are lovely!

  16. Mmm, yes, pens! We Skyped with an author last month, and it amused me so much how many of my 7th graders had been mesmerized by the pen collection in the background (which I hadn't even noticed). Everyone has their "things."

  17. Jennifer, I just accepted Leigh Anne's invitation to the Favorite Party. I never saw the movie you will bring so I guess I will need to look that one up. This is so much fun to think about. Tulips are just lovely at this time of year when I am trying to think of warm temperatures.
